Dear Parishioners, Brothers and Sisters,
In recent years, through our joint care and effort, we have accomplished many beautiful things together.
Our unique church – the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Vilnius – has become even more beautiful!
Thanks to your generosity:

the church façade and towers have been renovated,
-
during the difficult pandemic years, the presbytery was renewed,
-
a public museum was opened in the crypt,
-
the painting of Saints Peter and Paul in the main altar was restored,
-
the Chapel of the Saviour in John Paul II Square was rebuilt,
-
the heating system was completely replaced,
-
and many other improvements were made – including cleaning of the interior plaster and construction of access ramps for the disabled.
For all of this, I sincerely thank you from my heart!
We rejoice in what has been achieved, yet we also see new challenges ahead – above all, the completion of the façade renovation and replacement of the roof. Because these works are costly, we plan to carry them out in stages. If possible, already in 2026 we hope to begin the renovation of the dome and its drum, restore the cross on top of the dome, replace the roof, and renovate the transept walls.
Initially, the cost of this stage of the works was estimated at approximately €410,000. However, following a more detailed assessment and evaluation of the condition of the cross on the dome, it became clear that additional funds would be required for its restoration and gilding. As a result, the project budget has increased by €38,000, bringing the total cost of this stage of the works to €448,000.
