during the difficult pandemic years, the presbytery was renewed<\/span>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

a public museum<\/span> was opened in the crypt,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
the painting of Saints Peter and Paul<\/span> in the main altar was restored,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
the Chapel of the Saviour<\/span> in John Paul II Square was rebuilt,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
the heating system<\/span> was completely replaced,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
and many other improvements were made \u2013 including <\/span>cleaning of the interior plaster and <\/span>construction of access ramps for the disabled.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
For all of this, I sincerely thank you from my heart!<\/span><\/p>\n
We rejoice in what has been achieved, yet we also see <\/span>new challenges ahead \u2013 above all, <\/span>the completion of the fa\u00e7ade renovation and <\/span>replacement of the roof. <\/span>Because these works are costly, we plan to carry them out in stages<\/span>. If possible, already in <\/span>2026 we hope to begin <\/span>the renovation of the dome and its drum, <\/span>restore the cross on top of the dome, <\/span>replace the roof, and <\/span>renovate the transept walls. <\/span><\/p>\n
The estimated cost of this phase is around \u20ac410,000<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n
